Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Vahram Kazhoyan with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam H.E. Mr. Bui Thanh Son

Vahram Kazhoyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on April 4, 2023.

The parties discussed the development and deepening of relations between Armenia and Vietnam on, both bilateral and multilateral political issues, in economic, cultural, tourism and other spheres of mutual interest. They also exchanged thoughts concerning the current situation in their respective regions during the meeting.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kazhoyan presented the current situation in the border regions of Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin Corridor, the catastrophic humanitarian situation as a result of its blockade and the issues regarding the return of the prisoners of war and destruction of Armenian cultural heritage by Azerbaijan.

The interlocutors agreed to intensify relations between Armenia and Vietnam on all levels, by organizing also mutual visits of the officials of high-level, as well as exchange of journalists, businessmen, students and professors to Armenia and Vietnam.

Aramazd Muradyan, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia and Mr. Ha Hoang Hai, Deputy Director General of the Europe Department of MOFA, participated in the meeting.
